DECIDE Summer Clubs 2026: Communities in Project partner regions identified!

The Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE Project has completed the selection of communities to participate in DECIDE Summer Clubs 2026 Initiative “We Are at Home – in Ukraine”.

This year, interest in the initiative has once again exceeded all expectations! The Project team received more than 80 applications from communities in the partner regions of DECIDE, which, together with us, aim to create a safe and interesting space for children and teenagers to spend their summer recreational time.

The selection of participating communities was based on the security situation, the number of potential summer club participants, the organisational capacity of communities, and their readiness to organise summer activities during June–August 2026.

We welcome the 23 communities that have joined DECIDE Summer Clubs 2026 Initiative “We Are at Home – in Ukraine”:

Poltava region:

Lviv region:

• Mostyska urban community of Yavorivskyi district

Ivano-Frankivsk region:

• Verkhovynska settlement community of Verkhovynskyi district

• Roshnivska rural community of Kosivskyi district

• Biloberizka rural community of Verkhovynskyi district

Odesa region:

• Avanhardivska settlement community of Odeskyi district

Very soon, DECIDE Summer Clubs 2026 will become a space for personal development, support, making new friends, career guidance, and active pastimes for children in the communities that are part of the Initiative.

As previously reported, the communities participating in the Initiative will receive:

• methodological support to organise summer clubs for children in communities, with a focus on career guidance for children and teenagers, and materials for career guidance activities;

• lesson plans on education for democracy and human rights (EDHR), conflict prevention, psychological support, safety, and physical activity;

• sports equipment;

• a set of developmental games and books;

• stationery and a printer;

• equipment and frameless furniture to set up outdoor relaxation zones.

And this is not all! We will hold a series of training sessions for club organisers on career guidance methods, EDHR, and social and psychological support for children and teenagers. Our master trainers will also share creative ideas and best practices for organising and conducting summer clubs.
