Final strategic session on school meals reform held in Kyiv

The school nutrition reform, initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, is being implemented by territorial communities even during the war. The results of the reform in 2024 were discussed during the final strategic session with the participation of the Reform Support Team, representatives of all relevant ministries and the DECIDE Project.

Olena Zelenska called the reform ‘an investment in a healthy generation, strong communities and the country's economy’. The meeting discussed the results in achieving each of the four reform's strategic goals.

The DECIDE project has been supporting the implementation of school nutrition reform since 2020. The Project supported the Government in developing the Reform Strategy and contributed to the development of the ZnaImo portal.

Today, the school nutrition reform is about communities working to ensure that every child has access to a healthy and nutritious diet, even in times of war.
