Forum on the education development in the region was held in Poltava Region
On May 23, 2024, Poltava hosted a forum on Strategic Priorities for the Education Development in Poltava Region. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in partnership with the Swiss-Ukrainian Project DECIDE and with the assistance of Poltava Regional State Administration.
More than 100 participants attended the forum, including representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, regional military administration, heads of community education authorities, and heads of educational institutions.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of specialized secondary education in the region, which includes:
reform vision and goals;
reform strategy development;
planning a promising network of academic lyceums;
cooperation of communities in creation and joint maintenance of academic lyceums;
models of funding specialized secondary education.
There are 60 communities and 503 institutions of general secondary education in Poltava Region, 45 of which have less than 50% enrollment. The work is currently underway to create a network of institutions of specialized secondary education.
