A two-day session entitled "Implementation of the Senior Specialised School Reform: Community Experience and Regional Characteristics" was held in Kyiv on 3–4 July 2025 for DECIDE Project experts who have been working with local communities in various regions of the country since spring.
Over the following four months, these teams visited and provided consultations to representatives from more than 200 local communities on the implementation of the senior specialised school reform. This event marked the culmination of their fruitful efforts and offered a valuable opportunity to share experiences and insights.
Nadiia Kuzmychova, Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Education and Science, joined the session to review the analytical conclusions presented by the DECIDE Project experts. She also participated in the discussion of further steps, including the development of methodological materials, explanations, and other practical tools.
The experts also discussed the legal and administrative barriers faced by local self-government bodies; inter-municipal cooperation as a strategy for achieving common goals; the regional specifics of implementing senior specialised school reform; and the challenges of establishing a network of academic lyceums within local communities.
