Training launched: “Methodology for preparing class teachers of general secondary education institutions to establish a psychologically safe and supportive environment for children and adolescents”

We have launched the training course “Methodology for preparing class teachers of general secondary education institutions to establish a psychologically safe and supportive environment for children and adolescents.” It is being conducted for 25 mentors from 5 Teacher Training Institutes in Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Poltava regions.


Over the course of 30 hours, participants will explore the following modules:

• Psychological foundations of working with children and adolescents under stress and trauma

• Manifestations of stress, trauma, and PTSD in children and adolescents of different age groups

• Psychological support for children and adolescents in crisis situations• Emotional support for schoolchildren: practical approaches for class teachers


An entire module is devoted to teaching participants how to effectively transfer this knowledge:

• Methodology for delivering the educational programme “Psychological Safety in Schools: Action Algorithms in Crisis Situations” for class teachers of general secondary schools.


Upon completion, participants will receive professional development certificates and will go on to independently train 1,250 teachers in creating psychologically safe and supportive environments for their students.
